I wasn’t always a yoga teacher, and I didn’t always have a sense of calm. I started off in chaos. As a lifelong athlete, I pushed my body, chasing perfection, driven by unresolved anxiety, PTSD, and addiction. No matter how hard I trained, I couldn’t outrun what was happening inside. My mind was scattered, my spirit weary. Ten years ago, I realized that all the external strength I’d built couldn’t heal me. I needed something deeper, something that would challenge me to confront the parts of myself I had ignored for too long. So I turned to yoga—not just as a practice, but as a way to save my life.

I’ve been teaching yoga since 2012, but I’ve been on this path of self-study and healing far longer. Along the way, I’ve discovered that the work we do on the mat is more than just movement—it's survival, liberation, and a chance to rewrite the story we tell ourselves about who we are. Yoga isn’t about performing poses perfectly. For me, it's about showing up exactly as I am, in all my messiness, and finding compassion for myself in the process. My teaching is grounded in vinyasa, hatha, yin, and the science of how the brain and body work together.
-
I’ve done over 700 hours of study in meditation, yoga philosophy, and anatomy, which has deepened my understanding that our bodies carry the stories of our past—and that through practice, we can release what no longer serves us. My true passion lies in holding space for people like me. For Black and brown people who have been told to shrink; for queer, trans, nonbinary folks who have been taught to hide; and for anyone who feels out of place in this world. I’m here to remind you that you belong, that your body is yours to claim, and that every breath is an intentional affirmation.

When I teach, I use visualization, breathwork, and functional yoga mobility to create an experience that goes beyond the physical. I want you to feel what it’s like to live in your body, to move from mechanical patterns to a place of intentionality. Together, we’ll explore what it means to be aware, to align with your truth, and to take action that feels purposeful. Outside of yoga, you’ll find me in nature, on my bike, writing, cooking meals that nourish my soul, and showing up for my community in ways that feel real. When we cross paths online and IRL, ask me about what’s making me laugh, what songs I’m listening to, or what I’m reading right now!
